Therapeutic Massage Services

We passionately believe that where massage is concerned, one size most definitely does not fit all!

We customize your massage experience to fit your body’s needs.

Whether you need an all-over massage for relaxation, a deep muscle massage to improve circulation, or a lymphatic massage for immune system support, our team of licensed and certified massage therapists can provide the healing touch appropriate for your unique needs utilizing one or a combination of massage types:

Types of massage offered:

Swedish

This is the most common type of massage therapy in the United States. Swedish Massage uses long smooth strokes, kneading, circular movements, and stretching techniques on superficial layers of muscle to apply pressure, relieve tension, and improve physical functions.

Deep Tissue

For our clients with chronic tension or pain, we recommend a healing Deep Tissue Massage. This massage therapy is often used in conjunction with Trigger Point Therapy, targeting the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue by utilizing slow direct, penetrating pressure across the grain of the muscle. This type of massage is excellent for people with chronically tight or painful muscles, repetitive strains, postural problems, or sports injuries. People often feel sore for one to two days after a deep tissue massage.

PreNatal Massage

PreNatal Massage is becoming increasingly popular with expectant mothers. Our massage therapists are trained in PreNatal Massage and know the proper way to position and support the woman’s body during the massage, and how to modify techniques as needed. PreNatal Massage is used to reduce stress, decrease swelling, relieve aches and pains, and reduce anxiety and depression. The massage is customized to a woman’s individual needs.

Lymphatic

Your lymphatic system is one of the key parts of your body’s immune response, filtering out bacteria and toxins through a series of drainage ducts throughout the body. Lymphatic Drainage increases the flow of lymphatic fluids and increases immune function. Our team of massage therapists includes practitioners specially trained in this healthful technique. Perfect for cancer patients, athletes, and people with frequent illnesses.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage, is specifically designed for people who are involved in physical activity, not just professional athletes. The focus isn’t on relaxation but on preventing and treating injury and enhancing athletic performance. A combination of techniques are used and the strokes are generally faster than Swedish massage. Facilitated stretching is a common technique and helps to loosen muscles and increase flexibility.

Reflexology

Reflexology is an acupressure massage technique for the extremities — feet and hands — designed to improve circulation and relieve tension. Reflexology is also a perfect way for people with modesty considerations to enjoy the healthful benefits of massage while remaining fully clothed.

RainDrop Therapy: A new Approach to Massage Therapy

RainDrop Therapy is ideal for those suffering from fibromyalgia, chronic pain, trauma from an accident, back aches, and pains.

Warm towels are then applied to enhance the effects of the oils and improve absorption into the skin.  The entire process takes an hour to complete and can be extended to 90 minutes.

Some of the oils used in Rain Drop Therapy include:

  • Oregano (Anti- inflammatory)
  • Thyme (Antimicrobial)
  • Basil (Antispasmodic, Anti- inflammatory)
  • Cypress (Improves circulation and decreases swelling heals damaged tissue
  • Wintergreen (Analgesic, Anti-inflammatory, great for bones and joints)
  • Marjoram (Muscle relaxing, Antispasmodic)
  • Peppermint (enhances the effects of the above oils, pain reliever, stimulating circulation and cooling inflamed tissue).

The oils will continue to work in the body for up to one week following the treatment.
